COVID-19 Prevention: UPDATE - 19 March 2020
All Futsal Leagues and Futsal Trainings are postponed from Friday 20 March 2020.
All competitions will resume Week 1 of Term 2 if the situation allows.
While there is currently no community outbreak of COVID-19 Coronavirus in New Zealand, we recognise that it is prudent to postpone all futsal
competitions and trainings as of Friday 20 March 2020.
We will continue to keep you updated.
To our Auckland Futsal community:
With the sentiment in our community that local sport should be suspended given discussions around ‘social distancing’
and the postponement of some other sports, all Auckland Futsal competitions and trainings will be postponed from
Friday 20 March 2020.
We will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and will continue to communicate any changes as the
COVID-19 situation evolves via this page and directly via email to our members. We hope to resume on 27 April 2020
(Week 1 Term 2) but we will keep you posted.
We encourage all members of our community to comply with government restrictions regarding indoor gatherings of less than
100 people, adhere to travel restrictions as well as published hygiene guidelines.
We also encourage everyone to look after themselves, their families and other members of our community -
especially the elderly and vulnerable. As this is an unprecedented event, we cannot speculate how things will unfold,
however we are confident that we will band together and get through these challenging times together.
